Group Policies:

Lessons must be paid at time of booking

There are no refunds once a class has begun, but we will be happy to apply a credit toward another group class or a private lesson program.

There is no credit given for missed classes. Makeup classes are available in the next class rotation.

All students must sign in before starting each group class.

In order to ensure the safety of all our students, students should wear shoes. Street shoes are not allowed on the dance floor. Select a comfortable pair of shoes. Use these as your dance shoes and bring them with you. The shoes you walk down the sidewalk in bring in grit, discarded chewing gum and etc, which ruin’s the dance floor for everyone. Dancing in socks or bare feet is dangerous and can lead to injury.

Sneakers, rubber-soled shoes, and shoes that “flip-flop” are not allowed.

Dance Discovery reserves the right to cancel any class due to insufficient attendance. If a class is cancelled you will be issued a studio credit or a full refund.

Group classes are taught to the median level of ability of the class. Sometimes a class may seem paced too slowly or too quickly for you personally. If you are uncomfortable in your class, please find time to talk to us. We will work with you to find a better situation for you.

If group classes are too fast or too slow for you, you may transfer the remaining balance to private lessons.

Students under sixteen (16) years must be accompanied by a parent.

Practice sessions expire on par with each Group lesson. They are not cumulative.

Private Lessons:

Lessons must be paid at time of booking.

There is a 24-hour cancellation policy. If you must cancel your lesson please give us a full 24 hours notice so we have an opportunity to schedule someone else in your place. If you cancel late you will forfeit the lesson.

All private lessons are 25 or 55 minutes long. The lesson time includes a 5 minute review of the lesson plan for that day and to prepare for the next student. This ensures that the next lesson will begin on time.

Students under sixteen (16) years must be accompanied by a parent on private lessons.

There are no refunds for unused lessons.

The per-lesson fee is the same for a single student or a couple.

Group lessons and practice sessions expire on par with each private lesson. They are not cumulative.

General:

Dance Discovery is not responsible for loss of or damage to, personal property.

There will be a $25.00 fee charged for returned checks.

Dance Discovery and its instructors are not liable for any injuries sustained while in class, or on the premises. Please notify us if you have any concerns about physical problems or injuries.

Always work at your own pace.

We appreciate any effort on your part to encourage your friends and acquaintances to begin dancing at Dance Discovery. They are welcome to observe any group class or your private lesson.
